Hereis the pic of the cashmere I have bought form colourmartuk on ebay. It's a150g cone, approx 1,150 yards "4ply weight" single soft twist yarn. I believe it will come oiled and tight like it looks on the cone(oiled for industrial knitting), but should bloom and soften at first washing, as in the skein above. Can't wait for it to arrive!

The suggestion is to use 3.75-4.5mm needles with it for lace. i'll try to force myself to swatch at least with 4mm and 4.5mm to see which I like better, though if only one is easily available (read: out of other knitting) I'll probably just chuck myself into it willy-nilly. It doesn't have to fit, so obsessive guage totally unnecessary!

As for the niece - think I'll go more open mesh with sparkles for her! (Quick and easy).

Ooh G, are you sure I can't have the cashmere - looks yummy kind of like raspberry ripple ice cream all smudged together (in a good way)

I can't be too jealous - I just wrapped up cashmere socks --

But I second Voddy, that cone looks good enough to eat!

Hang on a sec, what has been going on in my absence? I check your blog all the time and NOTHING and then suddenly about 100 posts and I missed them all.

That Angelica is just brilliant. The shape and the colours. Fab.

Oh. My. Goodness. Cupcake. What can I say? I am jealous. I want to be Cupcake and have that hat. And the eyelashes. That hat, oooh, shivers. How clever are you!

And the cashmere. Absolutely yummy. Mmmmm.

Love the yummy cashmere. I have been eyeing that shade in Colourmart also but I'm not sure if I'm a pink girl but will HAVE to have some in one shade or another one day soon. Look fwd to hearing how it knits up, is it a shawl you are making?

I'm so jealous!! I almost bought that yarn. I just loved the color, but I have so much yarn right now. I needed to constrain myself. I'll be checking back to see what knit with this yarn. Post lots of picts PLEASE!!
