Anemoi mitts - in poshyarn Lucia

Here are the mitts I've made from Eunny's Anemoi mitten pattern, and Dee's delightful Lucia sock yarn (30% cashmere, 70% merino) at Poshyarn. I made them for C for Christmas, and she was delighted! I added a row of purl, then a row of knit cast-off, and it doesn't seem to be curling too much. The cuff is corrugated rib.

As you can see from my detail, my stranded colour work is not by any means perfect, but I enjoy it and hope to improve!

Now that is what I call impressive! I think you have to hold and "throw" the yarn properly in order to do this strandwork. This may make it impossible for me, as I still kind of plonk the yarn around my needle in a clumsy (though quite fast) manner, like I did when I was about eight.

I think your attempt is wonderful. How is the knitting course going?

Lovely! They will even out after a few wearings. Enjoy!

Ohhh...I like that...the yarn combo and leaving off the tip. Graet job!

Why thank you for the compliments! *blushes* (If only I was really that young and innocent, eh?)

Alice, the course is in hiatus as I get going for the dissertation - but I plan a 'holdiay' from that (obviously requires lots of work first) to complete the first knitting module. It is quite onerous - a plus for a course, I think!
