The Tale of a Swallow

Here's my swallowtail, completed and blocking on my new heirloom-knitting wires. They make it
so much easier!
Jaeger (sadly finishing) discontinued 4ply silk - the same yarn, different colourway, as Tuscany. The colour is closest in the first picture, above, it's a very pale silvery grey. I now have 1.5 balls of each colour left, and I'm not sure what I'll use them for.
Knit with Addi lace needles, 3.5mm. Lovely!

Very pretty. I have some blocking wires now, too. Handy things.

Perhaps the leftovers are enough for a lace scarf?

Ok, I'm now convinced about the value of the blocking wires! I love gray silk--I'm sure you can find a use for the rest of it.

It is sad about Jaeger--some of my favorite yarns, even if their profile was not so flashy as some others.

As we are now Smart-less too, and since having a two seater as the only car for a three person family is not really practical, I've decided that the Smart will have to be my "empty nest" car.
